This essential one day conference, focused on innovation in practice, will inspire, energise and motivate practitioners working with children and young people who are fostered or adopted. The conference will open with seminars from Dr Kim Golding who specialises in trauma, attachment and DDP and Dr Peter Jakob who is responsible for the introduction of Non-Violent Resistance to the UK. Participants will spend the day exploring effective interventions, and latest thinking, and practice strategies to provide the highest quality service to children, young people and their families.

Seminar: Finding calmer waters. Interventions to support children, young people and families with experience of developmental trauma. This seminar will explore developmental trauma and it’s impact on attachment relationships, highlighting the importance of relationship in the recovery process. Read more

This seminar will introduce participants to this non-punitive approach to aggressive, harmful or self-destructive behaviour in children and young people. Read more
