The PartnershipProjects NVR UK Accreditation Course module represents the highest level of training in NVR practice that we offer; successful completion of this course makes you eligible for professional accreditation as NVR Practitioner (Level III)* by NVR UK, the professional organisation that regulates and accredits NVR practice in the UK **.
The module consists of five practice-based study days as well as independent learning and practice assignments. Only ten participants take part in each course. Each participant brings one carefully prepared ‘case’ to the course – ideally inviting the actual parents to attend. This case will be relevant to the participants area of special interest.
Learning will be facilitated by a short case presentation and work with the actual clients or video recordings of client sessions, and the presenting participant can deepen their understandings through reflecting team methodology which will be used throughout the course.
One of the main independent learning assignments will be the submission of a single case study (academic standard paper) of 4000 words which is based on the case that has been presented during the workshop, and which focuses on the specific questions that pertain to the participants specialist interest. Very good or outstanding papers can be published on the PartnershipProjects website. Once all independent learning assignments have been submitted and evaluated as meeting good practice and sufficient academic standards, the participant has met all requirements for NVR UK ‘NVR Practitioner’** accreditation.
*NVR UK ‘NVR Practitioner’ accreditation does not include accreditation as NVR trainer (of professionals) or NVR supervisor.
**Subject to confirmation of the draft accreditation guidelines by members at the 2018 NVR UK annual general meeting.

Who should attend?
We see participants who have completed the PartnershipProjects Certificate Course as able to apply NVR principles and methods comprehensively to their work with families. This ‘top up’ module takes their learning to another level – that of developing skills and competencies in complex areas of working with harmful or self-destructive behaviour in children, young people, or even adults. The learning in this module will enable you to focus on a specialist area of your work and adapt the approach to the specific needs of the families you work with.
The entry level requirement for the PartnershipProjects NVR UK Accreditation course is the successful completion of the PartnershipProjects Certificate in Advanced NVR Practice which includes satisfactory evaluation of coursework. (NVR UK Level II).
