I think that leaving self-care at the end was actually helpful. You modelled it for us throughout the two days by giving us breaks and a decent lunch time, and then you asked us to reflect on how to be more caring towards ourselves, which will help me in reminding it tomorrow. I also especially liked the resources section of the training, where we collated everyone’s resources to add to our toolbox.

I feel so much more confident and grounded in NVR now

Really enjoyed having BSL colleagues here, I’ve not experienced that before and learned a lot. I found some of it challenging as when I have done groups before I was taught to use a more manualised approach, however the changes were well explained and it was helpful that you talked about why you have developed the training differently. I really enjoyed meeting new people and learning new materials. I could leave the training with many new materials outside of what the training covered. Maybe consider making a North American-timed meeting. However, I really enjoyed this training.

Really liked the group exercised that could be used like ice breakers, so much content and resources in the two days, great trainers who understand NVR and are passionate about it. I like the structure and delivery of the course. The exercises we did in groups and the resource sharing which has very useful. nothing to improve. very helpful training and the support both facilitators offer throughout the 2 days is appreciated

Ability to ask Q as we went along, to reflect on the material and are own practice. I liked the resources section the best as it really brought it live for me as well as Jo and Luke sharing their own group format and experience. Fantastic 2 days – the only thing I would improve would be somehow a slightly different Day 1 – felt a bit more dry and I could not connect to how I could attempt application as Day 2 resources section did. Thank you for bringing your own experience to both trainers

I liked the examples of the trainers programmes and giving me much thought for how I organise my groups. really great 2 days well spent. Jo and Luke were a great team and worked well together. I enjoyed having them as my trainers. I would have preferred to change groups occassionally

The new ideas from that I have taken away and I can integrate into the groups I co -facilitate. It gave me time to listen and reflect on my NVR practice. I liked the ideas of role play/practicing the principles with parents in sessions eg flowers/ gifts on chairs so parents can experience the principle. I really enjoyed the 2 days, thank you

It has all been excellent and stimulating. It was helpfully pointed out by one participant that videos did not address diversity, although I will certainly use most of them because they were all good. I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much. I liked thinking about the different ways of integrating individual work with group delivery. Hearing about other’s experience and the sharing of ideas/resources. The two co-facilitators worked very well together and created a very affirming and safe space for participants.
